Course Description: This is a course in differential calculus where you
will learn about limits and derivatives and their applications. Calculators
will not be used this
semester.

Syllabus: Your lecturer will determine what is covered in each
lecture but here is a tentative
schedule. Here is paper homework
for recitation.
Required materials: Stony Brook Edition (4th) of Stewart Calculus
and WebAssign for MAT 125. Materials can be purchased
at www.cengagebrain.com/course/1500045
if you so desire.
Grading: Exam #1 (20%) Monday, 2/20 at 8:45 PM covering 2.3,
2.4, 2.5, 2.7, 3.1, 3.2, 3.3, 3.4
Exam #2 (20%) Thursday, 3/30
at 8:45 PM covering 3.5, 3.6, 3.7, 4.3, 4.6
Final Exam (40%) Wednesday, 5/10 at 8AM covering 2.8, 4.1,
4.5, 4.8 and all sections covered on previous exams. You cannot receive a grade
higher than C- in the course without passing part 1 of the final exam which
will be given in your last lecture during the week of 4/17!
WebAssign (20%) Students will be assigned web-based exercises using an online system. Your individual access code can be purchased along with the textbook. Your TA will assign you a class key which you will use when you register on www.webassign.net. Assignments will be given every 2 weeks, beginning with the first day of classes.
